Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies

These chocolate chip cookies are my favorite in the entire world. The edges are extra crispy, while the center is soft and chewy. I've been using this recipe for awhile and I love it. These are also super easy to make. I hope you enjoy them!

Ingredients:

1 cup butter, softened

1 cup white sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar

2 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking soda

2 teaspoons hot water

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 cups all-purpose flour

2 1/4-1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (can be substituted with m&m's or other candies)

Directions:

1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together the butter and the sugars in the bowl of a stand mixer.

2) Beat in the eggs one at a time. Add in the vanilla.

3) Dissolve the baking soda in the water, using a spoon to stir it. Add the mixture to the batter with the salt.

4) Using a wooden spoon, stir in the flour and chocolate chips.

5) Roll into balls and drop onto an ungreased cookie sheet. They should be golf ball-sized, slightly larger than your average cookie. I was able to fit 8 cookies on each sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown on the edges.

6) Set out the cookies on a cookie sheet to cool, or eat them while they're still warm! These last about 3-5 days before getting stale.

I hope you all enjoy this recipe! It's originally from All Recipes by "Dora," but I mad several changes. Here's the link to her recipe: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/10813/best-chocolate-chip-cookies/
